Duo Agou & Pi Djob
Jazz – Soul – Blues
This duo’s melodies, sometimes longing, sometimes energetic, are amplified by inspiration and improvisation.

Two inspired artists come together.
Mediterranean jazz, blues and soul in a melodic, captivating concert.
In 2016, multi-instrumentalist Jean-Charles Agou invited artist Emmanuel Pi Djob to create a duo as part of the 10th Nîmes Métropole Jazz Festival.
This partnership immediately proved to be very creative, in the spirit of jazz, blues and soul. The two musicians, one born in North Africa, the other in Cameroon, have a deep understanding of each other’s music, a cross-breeding linked to their origins.

Born on the other side of the Mediterranean, Jean-Charles Agou is influenced by oriental melodies and Afro-American jazz. His artistic career has been marked by several tours in West Africa, Morocco and Syria. His identity has been forged by his musical collaborations, which combine composition and improvisation.
